Supreme Tours & Safaris Namibia (STS) was founded by Melkies Ausiku in 2016. Before founding this tour company, Melkies was working in the engineering consulting industry as an electrical engineer. After working 3 years in this industry, Melkies  realised that sitting at the office in front of his computer  designing electrical systems was not his passion. After a weekend trip with friends to Sossusvlei, Melkies discovered his true passion for adventure, the outdoors and nature.

 

It was on this trip that he first experienced the most beautiful sunrise on Dune 45, the most exquisite view on top of the Big Daddy Dune and the calm & solitude of the dead Camelthorn trees in Deadvlei.

 

Surely, this experience has to be relived. His weekend trips to Sossusvlei and other destinations in Namibia became frequent. Although Melkies often enjoyed to travel alone, he soon came to a realization that these experiences are worth sharing. In his own words: „I’ve always enjoyed my solo trips, but I’ve often had experiences that were so overwhelmingly ecstatic that I questioned myself whether I was truly experiencing a moment if there is no one around me to acknowledge it”. It was the need to share these phenomenal experiences that led to the birth of this tour company.
